Official news posts are nice. They indicate that the staff wants to keep its users informed about what's going on. That's also why news posts are very necessary, since without them, how would the users know anything?
Yes, that was sarcasm.
So, the new GMs are Leon and Dabignig. I chose these two due to their long time on the server, their experience with the game, and a few other factors for each individual.
So, a gratz would be nice.

I promised eons ago that I would open GM applications again. And well, I decided that now might be the time, since we've upgraded to 3.0.9, and the server is extremely stable now.
Please submit your application here. It will then be reviewed/discussed by the current staff, if needed. Note that only you can see your applications, so any private info you submit is not shown to the public.
Requirements for a GM:
- Community activity (forum/IRC). Note that IRC should be used for staff communications (when the forum isn't appropriate).
- Actual game activity (on the server itself).
- Knowledge of the rules.
- Past experiences as GM is a plus, but not necessarily a requirement.
- There is a certain requirement that you've been member of GamerzWoW for some time. There's no specifics on this. It's actually up to the staff whether they think you've been around long enough.
- The ability to solve conflicts between players (from a neutral standpoint).
- The ability to keep a good attitude, even when others may seem insulting. In such cases, a kick or a ban is to be used. Insulting the person back isn't necessary, and not doing so shows a certain level of maturity from your side as a GM.
- The ability to cooperate with the rest of the staff. Internal conflicts must be resolved properly.

We're upgrading to 3.0.9.
We're now on 3.0.9. The logon server and world server are both up.
NOTE: Please read this, It can help you resolve weird item equip errors.
NOTE 2: Northrend instances are spawned.
NOTE 3: Scripts will be activated ASAP.

Now, on a serious note: The core is pretty much playable as it is now. I'm just waiting for a usable database. That said, read this. We may get native support for our core by UDB.

InfintiyCore: The new core project... |

Most of you have probably noticed the overflood of "Infinity" commit messages on the IRC, so you likely already know about the project. InfinityCore is a new core, continued from GamerzCore, which me and a few other people are working to develop. We have full support from the database team over at DivinityDB.
We got the core up to 3.0.9 pretty fast, and we're soon going to throw in 3.1.0. So, GamerzWoW will be switching to this core. Not that it's really a switch, though, as the core is just a continuation of the core I was working on earlier. However, now it actually has a team, meaning it's not a one man show for me any longer.
Core changelog is here, scripts here.
Will keep you posted.

Before I say more: Much <3 to Jecht/Kane/Nyu on the IRC net.
The domain expired unexpectedly, and I didn't have the money to pay for it. Luckily, Jecht and Kane donated $5 USD each, and I was able to. Nyu then helped by paying for it, as I also had some credit card issues... Great timing, eh.
So, lots of kudos to them.
Sorry for the downtime.

Account passwords reset. |

Due to some (very) unfortunate circumstances, all passwords were accidentally reset in the account database. This is only for the game. Not the forum.
Fear not, though. It's not like anything's lost. All you have to do is PM me your username and the password you want me to set it to and I'll fix it. Then you'll be able to login again. Just use this script to reset your password. It will be emailed to the email address bound to your account.
Note: You can change your password with the .password command inside the game.
