It's been some rather interesting two years while GzWoW was still active.

However, I'm done with running WoW servers - I've realized how pointless it is. What do I gain from it? Less money to spend every month, less time for myself, more drama to deal with because kids are too dumb to solve things maturely...

The whole idea behind public WoW servers is uninteresting to me anyway - all that ever meant anything to me was WoW development. That is, learning the internals of WoW, figuring out packet structures, disassembling the client, etc.

A lot of you people have really been helpful - thanks a lot for your support, suggestions, and loyalty. I wish I could return it, but running a server without putting my heart into it would be worse than just shutting it down.

On a sidenote, there never really was much support to get from GamerzPlanet, so this being the official WoW server of GzP was rather pointless. Not even a link to this site could be found on GzP, rendering that status worthless for me/to us. This was how pretty much all child projects of GzP turned out - the GzP admin never supported any of them fully (and barely even supports GzP itself - only as a source of money, not as a community).

If anyone is willing to continue some sort of WoW server, using the character database from GzWoW, feel free to contact me on XploitIRC. It'll be completely independent of me, of course. As for me, I'll be taking on a new project which has been in the planning process with some others for a while - an original commercial MMORPG. This will pretty much be eating all of my time from now on.
