GzWoW is a private server and thus is completely free to play on. All it requires is a retail client which can be downloaded directly from Blizzard for free as well.

We're not dead. Just lazy.
Uploading database backups to the server now. Last thing that needs doing.
EDIT: You will know when the server is up. There's no need to bug me about it, seriously.
UPDATE: The server is back online. The realmlist is the same as always (logon.gamerzwow.net), but you need to flush your DNS cache ("ipconfig /flushdns") and possibly restart your computer/router.

UPDATE: Takedown date is confirmed. The current server will go down on September 30. The site has been backed up, and any posts after this date will not be brought over to the new server.
Well...
After some weeks of careful negotiations with my host, I got a pretty neat deal in place.

This is the new server machine GamerzWoW will be running on as of October 1. The total price of this is € 1000 for one year.
This is an exceptionally good deal, so lots of kudos to the guys over at LeaseWeb.
Also, I'll do what I can to have the new server remain on the same IP as the current one, so there won't be any DNS issues.
As for downtime, GamerzWoW will probably be down from around September 28 to October 3. Don't worry, the site won't die.
On another note, we're working really hard on resolving the damned lag issue over at the InfinityCore dev channel. Hopefully we'll have it sorted out soon...
NOTE: Like the last server downtime, you will very likely need to flush your DNS after we've moved. Do so by running "ipconfig /flushdns".

Status on 3.1.3 development. |

I recently bumped InfinityCore to version 0.2 and started 3.1.3 development.
You can follow changes here.
There's no real ETA on when GamerzWoW will be 3.1.3, to be honest. I'll most likely wait with upgrading the server, since UDB 382 will have some vital fixes to avoid client crashes.

Official news posts are nice. They indicate that the staff wants to keep its users informed about what's going on. That's also why news posts are very necessary, since without them, how would the users know anything?
Yes, that was sarcasm.
So, the new GMs are Leon and Dabignig. I chose these two due to their long time on the server, their experience with the game, and a few other factors for each individual.
So, a gratz would be nice.

I promised eons ago that I would open GM applications again. And well, I decided that now might be the time, since we've upgraded to 3.0.9, and the server is extremely stable now.
Please submit your application here. It will then be reviewed/discussed by the current staff, if needed. Note that only you can see your applications, so any private info you submit is not shown to the public.
Requirements for a GM:
- Community activity (forum/IRC). Note that IRC should be used for staff communications (when the forum isn't appropriate).
- Actual game activity (on the server itself).
- Knowledge of the rules.
- Past experiences as GM is a plus, but not necessarily a requirement.
- There is a certain requirement that you've been member of GamerzWoW for some time. There's no specifics on this. It's actually up to the staff whether they think you've been around long enough.
- The ability to solve conflicts between players (from a neutral standpoint).
- The ability to keep a good attitude, even when others may seem insulting. In such cases, a kick or a ban is to be used. Insulting the person back isn't necessary, and not doing so shows a certain level of maturity from your side as a GM.
- The ability to cooperate with the rest of the staff. Internal conflicts must be resolved properly.

We're upgrading to 3.0.9.
We're now on 3.0.9. The logon server and world server are both up.
NOTE: Please read this, It can help you resolve weird item equip errors.
NOTE 2: Northrend instances are spawned.
NOTE 3: Scripts will be activated ASAP. Scripts up.

Now, on a serious note: The core is pretty much playable as it is now. I'm just waiting for a usable database. That said, read this. We may get native support for our core by UDB.
